Between cat cuddles, book binges, and kid chaos, Anna Metz writes dark rom-coms that balance emotional depth with sharp humor and a touch of mayhem. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from UW-Whitewater and her M.S. in Counseling from Mount Mary University. Her years of in-depth social emotional analysis allows her to crawl inside her characters’ minds and foster a web of complex, dynamic connections. Little else is more satisfying than crafting intoxicating stories that make readers laugh, cry, and fall in love with morally gray characters any sane person would run from. A Milwaukee-based author, she lives with her high school sweetheart-turned-husband, two children, and two cats who—let’s be honest—rule the household. When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys Starbucks runs and indulging in her favorite treat–chocolate ice cream, especially for breakfast (it’s dairy, it counts, don’t judge). She believes reading and storytelling are necessary for creating emotionally intelligent, critically thinking, and well-rounded human beings. Plus, simply put, it's a hell of a lot of fun.
